8th grade Civics students participate in an archaeological excavation
under the direction of Ms. Seab. Simulating actual archaeological
digs, students unearth a variety of artifacts and record their findings
in an excavation field manual. There are eleven different topics
of study for the students to excavate and all are related to classroom
studies from this academic year. The specimens were made specifically
for this Civics class and include authentic reproductions of documents
and other artifacts associated with some of our Nation’s most
memorable moments.
