Camp Grandview with Coach Roudy is pleased to announce an option for Sports Camp under the direction of Coach Cherene Castillo!
Coach Castillo is in her fourth year in the athletics department at AD Henderson University School where she is a coach for volleyball, basektball, and softball, and a physical education and health teacher. Before arriving at Henderson, Coach Castillo was the head softball coach at Lynn University for 3 years. Castillo also served as an assistant coach of the Junior Canadian National Softball Team.
A former player with a tremendous amount of international experience, Castillo has won a silver medal and three bronze medals over nine years on the Canadian National Softball Team. The former starting centerfielder participated in the 2000 Olympic Summer Games in Sydney, Australia, the 1999 US Olympic Cup, 1998 World Championships in Japan and the Pan-American Games in 1994, 1995, 1997, and 1999.
The Newmarket, Ontario, native has an even more impressive collegiate resume, earning Lone Star Conference North Division Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference honors three consecutive years at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. In 1999, she earned NFCA All-America, LSC Player of the Year, All-Region and All-Conference honors while leading the Tigers to the LSC Championship. She also set an NCAA Division II record by hitting 17 triples in a season and her 35 career triples ties her for second all-time. Castillo was inducted in to East Central University’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Sports Camp at Camp Grandview will offer an entire day of sports and sports-related play. Sports included, but not limited to: basketball, baseball, soccer, swim, yoga, volleyball, pin dodgeball, frisbee football, and kickball. If you are interested in Sports Camp, please select the "Sports Camp" option on the Camp Grandview Registration Form.
