Jennifer Schultz is the Middle & Upper School Art Teacher at Grandview Preparatory School.

Originally from Pennsylvania, her love for the arts began at a very early age and remains a significant part of her life. Mrs. Schultz's creative tendencies have always been supported by her family, friends, and colleagues. She always wanted to pursue the arts as a career path.

As an art educator for the past 25+ years, Mrs. Schultz integrated the strong family support she received into a safe, well-organized learning environment where students can be inspired to create art as well as learn about each other through their creativity and individuality.

"Teaching art to aspiring minds is rewarding in its own right and fulfilling on several levels. It allows me to share my knowledge and skills with young minds eager for knowledge. And in turn, I learn new approaches to my personal art. This sharing of information is what makes education fun and exciting; there is learning taking place all around," according to Mrs. Schultz.

Earning her Bachelor of Science in K-12 Art Education from Kutztown University, she's had some unique teaching opportunities, including St. Thomas, United States Virgin Islands, where she taught at a K-12 Catholic School and Phoenix, AZ, where she pioneered the art department in a K-8 Charter School. Mrs. Schultz also taught an adult painting class at the Community College level in the Mojave’ Desert.

She continues to practice her own art-making working alongside professional artists in the local community.

Mrs. Shultz was voted “Teacher of the Year” in 2017 at Grandview. She is an active member of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) and the Florida Arts Education Association (FAEA), both communities of teaching artists, professors, museum educators, scholars and researchers whose mission is to fulfill human potential and promote global awareness through arts education.
