Mary Ellen Piscatello is the Director of Studies at Grandview Preparatory School. In this role, Mrs. Piscatello oversees college counseling, academic scheduling, academic course requirements, and compliance with all accrediting agencies. Mrs. Piscatello holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer & Information Systems, a Masters degree in Educational Foundations. Additionally, Mrs. Piscatello holds a State of Florida Certification as an Educational Media Specialist for PK - Grade 12.
For over 20 years, Mrs. Piscatello has been in education as a teacher and an administrator. She first came to Grandview in 1998 as the Director of Electronic Learning after teaching at St. Thomas Aquinas High School. After one year, she left to work as a Database Implementation Coordinator for Campus Management; this job had her traveling extensively to colleges around the country. She trained college employees in Alaska, New Jersey, Virginia, Arkansas, California, and Florida - to name a few. Mrs. Piscatello returned to education and to Grandview in 2003, where she has remained as Director of Studies. Prior to entering the field of education, Mrs. Piscatello worked as a Promotional Coordinator for Levitz Furniture, and prior to that she worked in the credit department of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City. Mrs. Piscatello is married with three children and one grandchild.
