Merit Scholarships 
 

Grandview offers a variety of scholarships to recognize students for extraordinary academic achievement, strong moral character, and the potential to contribute to Grandview's community beyond the classroom. Scholarship allocations are limited each year and awarded at a first come, first served basis. 

The Academic Pride Scholarship is designated for students in grades 6-12. Students entering Grandview Preparatory School for the first time are eligible to receive the Academic Pride Scholarship. Candidates must register and complete the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) and meet all other admission requirements.

  • Students scoring in the 90-99% SSAT Percentile Ranks will receive $17,000.
     
  • Students scoring in the 80-89% SSAT Percentile Ranks will receive $10,000.
     
  • Students scoring in the 70-79% SSAT Percentile Ranks will receive $5,000.

Academic Pride Scholarships are renewable each year a student remains in good standing. Academic Pride Scholarships may not be combined with any other tuition reduction.

The Grandview Merit Scholarship is designated for students in grades 6-12. Students entering Grandview Preparatory School for the first time may apply for the Grandview Merit Scholarship. Competitive applicants will demonstrate quality academic performance, strong moral character, hard work, and the potential to contribute to the Grandview community beyond the classroom. The Grandview Merit Scholarships range from $500 to $4,500. The scholarships have designated requirements for eligibility and are renewable each year a student remains in good standing. 

The Milton Kantor Scholarship is awarded to a student or students who exhibit leadership qualities, are in good academic standing, and have demonstrated need through an application for financial aid. The Milton Kantor Scholarships range from $1,000 - $10,000. Awards are dependent upon funding.

The Community Scholarship is designated for students in grades 6-12. Students entering Grandview Preparatory School for the first time may apply for the Community Scholarship by writing an essay regarding their previous impacts on their communities and complete a scholarship interview with selected committee members. Competitive applicants will demonstrate quality academic performance, strong moral character, hard work, and the promise to contribute to the Grandview community beyond the classroom. The Community Scholarship ranges from $500 to $8,500 and is available to domestic and international applicants. The scholarship has designated requirements for eligibility and are renewable each year a student remains in good standing. 


State-Funded Scholarships

A state funded scholarship based off financial need available to low-income children. The scholarship may be combined with variable tuition, discounts and other scholarships. For more information, visit www.stepupforstudents.org

The Gardiner Scholarship Program provides eligible students a scholarship that can be used to purchase approved services or products in order to design a customized educational program for the student. Scholarships can be used for specialized services such as speech or occupational therapy, instructional materials, tuition at an eligible private school, contributions to a college prepaid account and more. The program is directly administered by state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organizations.

*Note: Grandview has limited resources and services available to students needing accommodations. All students must go through the admission process and be formally accepted. Eligibility for this scholarship does not guarantee admission to Grandview Preparatory School. 

Grandview does not accept the McKay Scholarship
