Qualifying for Variable Tuition

Even with variable tuition, each family contributes to the cost of tuition and fees, thereby supporting the community to the extent each family circumstances permit. Variable tuition is based on a family's financial need as determined by The School and Student Service (SSS), a division of the Education Testing Service. Families who would like to be considered for variable tuition are required to submit a financial statement to SSS with a most recent 1040 form. SSS calculates the amount of demonstrated need and sends a report directly to Grandview. Families wishing to be considered for variable tuition should complete their application by May 1st. Applications can be completed HERE

  • Tuition at the lowest ranges typically include students who have additional state-funded scholarship awards. All families are expected to pay some level of tuition.

  • All recipients of the variable tuition are expected to remain in good academic standing, exhibit exemplary behavior and remain current in their financial obligations to the school. Failure to comply with any of these expectations may result in the termination of the varied tuition.

  • Variable tuition awards are made on a one-year basis. The application process with SSS must be repeated each year of a student's enrollment at Grandview.

  • The Varied Tuition Committee also considers the student's overall academic, social, and disciplinary record at the school in making decisions about varied tuition for returning students. All information regarding tuition is held in strictest confidence by the Varied Tuition Committee.

We want to be your home away from home! Grandview offers a 25% student discount for families with more than one student enrolled. The 25% discount is applied to the second student's tuition payment schedule along with all consecutive children.
