Founded in 1997, Grandview Preparatory is one of Boca Raton's top private schools for students in Early Childhood through Upper School. Grandview's faculty and staff are encouraged to think creatively and independently with the shared goal of preparing students for college and life beyond while fostering a love of learning, endless inquiry and individual passions. Your Mission:
As our Advancement Director, you'll be orchestrating alignment between our school mission and the larger community. Your role is to share the Grandview mission, generating interest, philanthropy, and alumni connections.  These connections will propel Grandview’s impact and garner the resources needed to reach our community's potential.

Crafting Connections:

  • Fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose.

  • Build strong relationships with the City of Boca Raton, Chamber of commerce and other local organizations. 

Fundraising:

  • Design and execute fundraising initiatives that resonate with our community's values and aspirations, as well as targeted financial outcome goals.
  • Initiate and organize the school’s annual fund and capital campaign.
  • Utilize and maintain the data, records, and software relative to the advancement department goals. . 
  • Transform fundraising into both human and capital participation in school life and purpose- building relationships between the gift and the donor’s presence and purpose.

Qualifications:
A sincere passion for progressive, constructivist education and community building. Previous experience in fundraising, and community engagement. (private school preferred)
Excellent communication and organizational skills, inspirational social presence, creative flair, and an innovative approach to community building across education. into the larger community and industry landscape.

Overview:
Grandview Preparatory School in Boca Raton, Florida, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Athletic Development Director to expand our athletic programming.  Grandview is looking for a leader who can provide insight and vision for developing campus facilities and offerings in the K-12 arena.  With a strong history of athletic program success, our school will continue its pursuit of excellence in developing well-rounded student-athletes while balancing goals of wellness and high character.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the athletic department that aligns with the school's mission and future expansion goals. Ensure the program promotes excellence, wellness, and high character.
  • Program Development: Oversee the expansion of athletic facilities, including aspects of fundraising, as well as the development of new  interscholastic and recreational sports programs for students of all ages. Ensure programs are inclusive and accessible to all students. 
  • Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and mentor coaches and athletic department staff. Provide professional development opportunities and ensure staff are aligned with the department's goals and values.
  • Student Development: Foster a positive, supportive environment that promotes student-athlete well-being, academic achievement, and personal growth and accountability. Implement wellness and nutrition education within athletic programs. Strong communication with families regarding available paths for the individual student’s skill sets and interests. 
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all athletic programs comply with relevant regulations and best practices. Oversee the maintenance of facilities to ensure they are safe and meet the needs of the programs.
  • Community Engagement: Strengthen relationships with students, parents, alumni, and the broader community. Promote the athletic program through events, communications, and partnerships.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the athletic department's budget. Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including sponsorships and grants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Education, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in athletic administration, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing successful athletic programs.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of wellness and nutrition as they relate to athletic performance and student development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all school stakeholders.
  • Commitment to the holistic development of students and the values of Grandview Preparatory School.

  • Develop regular field work/opportunities with a culminating peak experience in spring term
  • Teach full time as a master teacher across different grade levels

Qualifications

  • Advanced degrees preferred, master's degree or higher required
  • Extensive experience (minimum of 5 years), particularly with academic personalization and skills assessment, desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self starter with the ability to work independently while actively collaborating in the school community
  • Very resourceful and adaptive, eager to embrace constant change, growth and learning  
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development

Benefits

  • Starting annual salary of $75,000, with additional compensation potential commensurate with experience and skills

  • On-site and flex work: on-site during the school year, flex schedule when students are not on campus or when working on special projects
  • Travel: As Grandview develops its global and local study experiences, faculty who design units with culminating experiences will have the opportunity to extend their experience either before or after the student experience with lodging and airfare paid for by the school.
